Kathie Webb has her MFA in Art at Northern Illinois University. A graduate of Michigan State University (B.A. Theatre, 1982), Kathie formerly worked as a costume designer for Rock Valley College, New American Theatre, regional and off-Broadway productions.
Katherine has been a mixed media artist and is currently devoted to work in fibers, specifically embroidery and surface design. She is an adjunct professor in art at Rock Valley College where she teaches visual arts and design.
Her experience as a mother to a child with multiple disabilities (Kaitlin, age 15) is a rich source for much of her work. Katherine has two other children (Josh, 25 and Marissa, 23). She currently resides in Rockford, Illinois.
